Cooperation of OSJD and University of Žilina
Organisation for Cooperation between Railways (OSJD) with a view to providing a multilateral dialogue in the field of development and improvement of international railway traffic in the Eurasian area, organised the High-Level Seminar „Challenges and new opportunities for vocational training in the field of international railway traffic in the 21st century” on February 2017, in Warsaw.
The Seminar was attended by over 70 representatives from People´s Republic of China, Russian Federation, Mongolia, Republic of Poland, Ukraine, Slovak Republic, Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, French Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, and participants from international and regional organisations.
University of Žilina encourages accomplishing international railway passenger and freight traffic in the field of the ongoing improvement of qualifications as an important factor of higher level of staff´s readiness for operation on transport. In cooperation with OSJD members, it is fully important to support the comprehensive approach to the development of education and training of staff within the framework of international organisations relating to different modes of transport. This approach should be based on the elaboration of standard requirements for staff´s qualifications, a common methodology, standard for academic programmes and best practices. University of Žilina will be a partner of huge network for creating a platform for the dialogue between the government bodies, railway undertakings and educational organisations.
